Lifenet International Pays Working Visit DGMH

On wednesday November 9, Lifenet International, a faith-based non-profit organization working
with christian health facilities in Ghana, paid a working visit to Dzodze Ghana Mission Hospital, a
health facility situated in the Ketu North Municipal of the Volta Region.

This was after the facility was selected along with others to partner the organization to train, coach, mentor and subsequently support them with quintessential medical equipment to provide comprehensive health solutions to elevate the standard of care for millions of vulnerable patients.
In his address, Mr .Mac Thompson Gbeti, the administrator of DGMH welcomed officials from
Lifenet and other guests by first acknowledging the numerous benefiting projects undertaken by the
organization.
He touted that “through this partnership we can say that after 6 years of existence as a Clinic we
were upgraded by Health Facility Regulatory Agency (HEFRA) as a fully-fledged Primary Hospital
about two months ago and plans are far advanced with NHIA to also accord us new recognition”
He continued to say “…. it will interest you to know that through this same partnership, especially
the recent one week training that was organized by Lifenet International, we were able to put our
house in order in all spheres of our work and after the last SafeCare Assessment we moved from
Level 1 to Level 3 by kind courtesy Lifenet International.
Mr. Gbeti further spoke about the staff strength of the facility and the services rendered which
included primary health care, wound dressing, antenatal and delivery, post natal care, obstetrics,
laboratory services, mental health unit, pharmaceutical care, ultrasound scan, RCH, family planning
and counseling, major and minor operations and others.
Appealing for support, the administrator bemoaned the need to expand on their infrastructure and so
called on well-wishers,,corporate organizations, NGOs, philanthropists and other benevolent
institutions like Lifenet International to come to their aid.
He touched on the need for constructing more wards, theater equipment and the establishment of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and finally the completion of their OPD and emergency complex.
On his part, the Country Director of Lifenet International, Mr. Idris Buabeng stressed on their
primary aim which is to empower and support existing facilities instead of establishing new ones.
He explained that the organization works only with Christian facilities which is why they work
closely with the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG). He commended the hospital on
how far they have come in providing exemplary healthcare needs to their clients. Mr. Buabeng was
accompanied by the group Vice President Sarah Borger, who also used the opportunity to talk
extensively about the organization, their objectives and projects.
Present at the occasion was the Municiapal Chief Executive, Hon. Dr. Anthony Komla Avorgbedor
and the Municipal Director of Health, Mad.Justine Sefakor Alornyo. They both expressed gratitude
and pointed out the fact that Government alone cannot do it all and hence the need for other
individual organizations to support such worthy courses.
In appreciation, Lifenet International was presented with a Citation in their honour, this presentation
was done by Torgbui Atsu Dzesu II and was assisted by Hon.Dr Anthony Komla Avorgbedor on
behalf of Dzodze Ghana Mission Hospital.
