Ghanaian-born Eddie Nketiah wins FA Cup with Arsenal

English-born of Ghanaian descent Eddie Nketiah has clinched his first major title with Arsenal FC.     Nketiah was introduced on the 82nd as replacement for Alexander Lacazzete as the Gunners beat their city rivals Chelsea 2-1 to win the English FA Cup.   Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang once again lit up Wembley as his brace ensured FA Cup final victory over 10-man Chelsea.

The striker equalised with a penalty he had won himself to cancel out Christian Pulisic’s early opener.   Chelsea then lost Cesar Azpilicueta and Pulisic to injury before Aubameyang brilliantly added his second to secure a 2-1 victory and then lifted a record 14th FA Cup for the Gunners.   Nketiah returned to Arsenal after his loan spell at Nottingham Forest was cut short earlier this year.   He scored two goals in his 13 appearances for Arsenal in the English Premier League in the just ended season.
